Outliner
Keep every part of the scene within reach.
Find, select and organize objects as your model grows. Group assemblies, isolate a part and return to the whole scene without losing track of its structure.
Try it in HardCuts
- Named objects
- Nested groups
- Drag-and-drop hierarchy
- Visibility & Solo
Build a readable hierarchy
Give objects descriptive names in Item properties. Select parts and choose Group Selection, or create a New Empty Group. New Subgroup adds a nested group. Drag objects or groups to change their parent. Ungroup (keep contents) removes a group without deleting its parts.
Focus on the part you need
Visible controls whether a row or selection is shown. Hiding a group hides its contents while preserving their individual visibility settings. Solo isolates an object or group temporarily; leaving Solo restores the previous visibility state. The context menu also provides surface operations and Create Asset for reusing a part.
Choose Join or Union
Join collects selected objects into one scene object. When overlapping parts need a solid boolean combination, use Union. Grouping keeps the objects separate while allowing you to transform the assembly together.
Good to know
Is Solo saved with the project?
Solo is temporary and is not saved. The object hierarchy is saved with the project, and exiting Solo restores the visibility state from before isolation.
