Clean, Intuitive UI

Keep the model at the center of your work.

Create shapes, sculpt surfaces and organize the scene around a shared viewport. Contextual controls bring forward the settings for the active object, shape or tool.

Find the controls for the task

Shapes starts primitives and drawn forms, Tools contains deformation and utility operations, and Brushes provides sculpting and masking. The outliner organizes objects while Properties exposes settings for the selected item or tool. Press Q for the contextual Actions Panel.

Navigate in a familiar way

Default navigation uses middle mouse drag to orbit, Shift + middle mouse drag to pan and the wheel to zoom. Edit > Preferences offers HardCuts Default, Blender-like, Maya-like, ZBrush-like and Custom presets, along with sensitivity and keyboard settings. Read the viewport instructions when a gesture changes with the active tool.

Good to know

Why does a shortcut behave differently while sculpting?

Shortcuts are context-sensitive. F frames the selection in object context but controls brush size while sculpting. The viewport instructions describe the active gesture.
